Best Elopement Spots in Colorado!

We perform weddings in the area we believe to be the most beautiful place in Colorado.  We have spent the past five years traveling to all four corners of this amazing state. Why?  To find the absolute most beautiful and quaint area for our clients.  And the winner is….(drum roll)…the one and only San Luis Valley in the town of Saguache, Colorado.  We believe this area to be one of the best elopement spots in Colorado.  This tiny town is nestled between the majestic Sangre de Cristo mountains to the east and the stellar San Juan Mountains to the west.

The majestic Sangre De Cristo Mountains

What does this mean for you?  Well…Saguache has been ranked as one of the sunniest places in the United States.  With our relatively mild weather for most of the year, we have found our valley to be perfect temps.  We also have a unique geological situation because we are surrounded by mountains from the east and west.   From a photographer’s perspective, this provides us with beautiful backdrops from any direction.  During prime lighting conditions, we are able to provide two very different types of lighting.  In one direction we have very bold and blue skies and from the other direction, warm hazy tones for a softer affect.  With Stephanie’s 20+ years of photography experience of specifically shooting outdoors, she can give you the prime time to have your ceremony on any particular day.

Things To Do While Around The Area

Another thing to consider is that the San Luis Valley is less than three hours from 3 National Parks**.  With many great attractions, you and your guest are sure to find plenty to do during your Tiny Wedding Vacation.  Adventures can include white water rafting, kayaking, jeeping, mountain biking, rock climbing, fly fishing, hot spring soakings, hiking, road biking, and viewing the abundant wildlife in the area.  For the more laid back, we suggest shopping, visiting the alligator farm, or possibly the ufo tower. Also, the various religious temples in the area are neat to check out.  Or, my favorite,  just taking a drive through the Valley and enjoying the views.
